Learn More About the GEA Leader Experience

As a GEA Leader you will be assigned to a specific Project in one of our target countries, where you will visit a local high school for one week to mentor and empower students through the GEA workshop curriculum. Before your departure, you will receive training from our experienced GEA staff. Training will cover the GEA workshop curriculum, effective teaching strategies, and leadership and public speaking skills. As a GEA Leader, you will prepare to interact with your target country's culture and students. All GEA activities are conducted in English.

To become a GEA Leader you must:

  1. Be a young professional or be enrolled in a college or university

  2. Have a strong academic performance record

  3. Possess excellent public speaking and teaching abilities

  4. Be willing to commit to approximately 10 hours of training

  5. Be willing to travel abroad for five days, lead a GEA workshop, and maintain a mentor-mentee relationship post-workshop

  6. Acknowledge and sign the GEA Leaders Agreement and Waiver of Responsibilty
